An MSc Mental Health, Sport and Physical Activity qualified practitioner, Joseph has acquired expert knowledge of designing, implementing and evaluating interdisciplinary programmes aimed at improving mental health and mental resilience.
Earlier in his career, Joseph took on the role of Project Lead for the anti-stigma education initiative ‘Tackling the Blues’ (TtB) across 10 schools within the North West. Under his remit was to design and implement sessions, monitor and evaluate the programme, and provide training and CPD to mentors of ‘TtB’.
It was at this time that ‘TtB’ was awarded ‘Outstanding Contribution to the Local Community’ at the prestigious Times Higher Education Awards in London.
Joe currently works as a Mental Health and Physical Activity Project Leader and is the co-architect of The Iceberg Programme. This programme focuses on educating children, young people and adults about the importance of mental health, how to develop coping strategies and how to build mental resilience.
